The algorithm and I are in a committed relationship right now — by algorithm I of course mean Vinted’s. She serves me a vintage gem, I panic-buy it, we both feel validated. It’s honestly the healthiest relationship that I’ve had in years, my therapist will confirm.
So, what has she blessed me with this week? Only the exact mix of ridiculous and fabulous that makes getting dressed feel like a scene from SATC.
Accurate representation of me unboxing my vintage Manolo’s last week.
Shopping vintage is my love language, my coping mechanism, my personality quiz result. And honestly? These finds feel like little souvenirs from this chapter — proof that I can rebuild my wardrobe, if not my mental health, one purchase at a time. Let’s get to scrolling:
Dying to style and layer this little vest this fall. It has no brand but I found it at a beautifully-curated vintage store on Rue de Turenne!
My friend Ken and I found these *gasping* Chanel boots at Nuovo (Paris - Marais) and if you have Polly Pocket-sized feet aka 36 you might need to run and snag.
I refuse to let the fact that I was gaslit into buying this button-down stop me from having a happy relationship with it. I also have no idea how to style it but that’s neither here nor there. A brown satin chemise — hardly revolutionary, and yet here I am, losing my marbles like it’s 2021.
I LOVE a good fun pant! I always end up reaching for a Cavalli pair — no one has ever done a print quite like him in the ’90s. However, this one is a no-name brand and I found it at another vintage pop up in the Marais. There’s something genius about a good printed pant — does all the work for you. When I’m feeling lazy (read: most mornings), the print does the heavy lifting of styling!
Found these two vintage Levi’s at Fourche Noir, a Marais favorite of mine with an amazing selection of curated jackets, graphic tees and amazing vintage denim.
These vintage Manolos would send Carrie Bradshaw into cardiac arrest
Another vintage Manolo find I somehow paid far too little for. I’m obsessed with the way these look on the feet.
Animal print is a neutral in the winter, I don’t make the rules. Found these vintage beauties on Vinted for under $300 and have been insufferably proud ever since… my ankles, not so much.
3 words: bedazzled Miu Mius. If it humbly sparkles, I am interested. These were…are you ready… 98 euros. I immediately forgave myself for any past bad purchase I had ever made in the past. Everyone makes mistakes, but Miu Miu does not.
